Encryption algorithms
MoRUN.net Sticker gives you confidence you need to ensure note information security. All note information is encrypted using the strongest algorithms:
  • The Rijndael (AES) algorithm
AES stands for Advanced Encryption Standard. AES is a symmetric key encryption technique which will replace the commonly used Data Encryption Standard (DES).
It was the result of a worldwide call for submissions of encryption algorithms issued by the US Government's National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in 1997 and completed in 2000.
The algorithm, Rijndael, was developed by two Belgian cryptologists, Vincent Rijmen and Joan Daemen. AES provides strong encryption and was selected by NIST as a Federal Information Processing Standard in November 2001 (FIPS-197).

  • The Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (ECDSA)
The Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (ECDSA) is the elliptic curve analogue of the Digital Signature Algorithm (DSA). It was accepted in 1999 as an ANSI standard, and was accepted in 2000 as IEEE and NIST standards. It was also accepted in 1998 as an ISO standard, and is under consideration for inclusion in some other ISO standards.

  • Secure Hash Algorithm (SHA-256)
SHA-256 is the new draft standard intended as a companion for the new Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) to provide a similar level of enhanced security. SHA-256 is specified in NIST standard FIPS 180-2.
