How to download, install, run and start using Encryption and Decryption
1. At first you need to download Encryption and Decryption using the following link
http://www.morun.net/www/downloads/encryptionanddecryption/.
2. To install Encryption and Decryption, run Encrypt.exe (you should remember where you saved the program) or run the "Add/Remove Programs" utility from Windows Control Panel, click the Install button and select Encrypt.exe.
3. After Encryption and Decryption is installed on your PC, run the program: double-click on Encryption and Decryption desktop icon or click the Start button and choose Encryption and Decryption from the list of programs.
Encryption and Decryption tray icon appears in the tray menu. Usually you can find tray icons in the right bottom corner near the clock.

If you can't find Encryption and Decryption tray icon and you run Windows XP, click the "Show/hide icon" button in the tray menu.

To access program features right-click on Encryption and Decryption tray icon to access program tray menu

Or double-click on program desktop icon.

How to encrypt text
To encrypt text*:
1. Double-click on Encryption and Decryption desktop icon or tray icon to open Encryption and Decryption main window.
2. Click "Tools" button and select "Encryption" item.

3. Enter or paste the text you want to encrypt in "Text you want to encrypt" area.
* Free version limitation - max length of text you can encrypt is 255 characters. Need more powerful software? Try Encryption and Decryption Pro
4. Click the "Encrypt" button.
5. Enter password for encryption and confirm it. Attention! You have to remember it, because it will be needed for decryption.

"Encrypt with password check confirmation" option is on (by default this option is on after installation, then it remembers its last state)
If "Encrypt with password check confirmation" option is on, your password hash is stored in the encrypted text. Later, when you decrypt the text, the password you enter is hashed and compared with the stored password hash. And, in case, the hash of the password you enter matches the stored password hash, your encrypted text will be decrypted. If you enter wrong password, you'll get en error message "Wrong password".
"Encrypt with password check confirmation" option is off
To mitigate the threat of trivial Brute Force attacks on the encrypted text, you can encrypt your text the way it doesn't store password hash. If you turn off "Encrypt with password check confirmation" option, it prevents program from storing password hash in the encrypted text and makes Brute Force attacks harder.
In this case, if you enter wrong password for decryption, you won't see any error message, your text will be "decrypted" using wrong password and you will see abracadabra instead of the real text.
Don't worry if you decrypted the text with wrong password, your original encrypted text is still stored in the "Encrypted text you want to decrypt" area and you can decrypt it with the correct password.
6. Your text in the encrypted form appears in "Encrypted text" area.
Now you can safely store your text (message) on your PC, send it by email or transfer it in any other ways. If you want to send your message in the encrypted form, just copy it from the "Encrypted text" area and paste it to your email.
To remove information from "Text you want to encrypt" and "Encrypted text" areas, click "Clear fields" button.
How to decrypt text
To decrypt text:
1. Double-click on Encryption and Decryption desktop icon or tray icon to open Encryption and Decryption main window.
2. Click "Tools" button and select "Decryption" item.

3. Paste the text you want to decrypt in "Encrypted text you want to decrypt" area.
4. Click the "Decrypt" button.
5. Enter password for decryption and confirm it. Note: it is the same password that was used for text encryption

If "Encrypt with password check confirmation" option was on while encryption (by default this option is on after installation, then it remembers its last state), your password hash is stored in the encrypted text. When you decrypt the text, the password you enter is hashed and compared with the stored password hash. And, in case, the hash of the password you enter matches the stored password hash, your encrypted text will be decrypted. If you enter wrong password, you'll get en error message "Wrong password".
If "Encrypt with password check confirmation" option was off while encryption and you enter wrong password for decryption, you won't see any error message, your text will be "decrypted" using wrong password and you will see abracadabra instead of the real text.
Don't worry if you decrypted the text with wrong password, your original encrypted text is still stored in the "Encrypted text you want to decrypt" area and you can decrypt it with the correct password.
6. Decrypted text appears in the "Decrypted text" window.
To remove information from "Encrypted text you want to decrypt" and "Decrypted text" areas, click "Clear fields" button.

Why should I clean or disable AutoComplete?
While the AutoComplete feature may be helpful for some things, it can also seriously compromise your security and privacy, because anyone who has access to your computer can see what web sites you visited and what information you entered on web pages. Also various malicious software can use AutoComplete data to steal your personal information such as your name, e-mail address, credit card information and/or retrieve web sites passwords stored as autocomplete data.
