Passwords security and Passwords protection
What is a password? Passwords are keys you use to access personal information you store on your PC and in your accounts. Passwords help to ensure that only authorized users access PC and accounts. Passwords protect personal information we don't want anyone knows.
Strong passwords is an important part of information and network security. Easy-to-guess passwords could seriously compromise you security and put your secure information at risk. To ensure information security you should create strong secure passwords and keep them in a safe and secure way.
Learn how to create strong passwords, keep them in a safe secure manner, protect and change them.
How to create secure passwords
Like most computer users, you need a lot of passwords: for your computer, bank accounts, Internet services. Remembering all of them is not easy. And some users create passwords that are easily to remember but also easily to guess or crack. A good password is one that cannot be easily guessed.
Tips to create secure passwords
Passwords should not be based on well-known or easily accessible personal information. You should never use personal information as a part of your password. It is very easy for others to guess things like your last name, pet's name and other personal details.
Password length - password size does matter
Each character you add to your password increases its security. Your passwords should be 8 or more characters in length. The more characters your password contains, the more difficult it can be to guess.
Use random combination of letters (upper-case and lower-case), numbers, and symbols. The greater variety of characters in your password, the harder it is to guess
You can use a passphrase as a part of password - use a sentence you can easily remember and create a password using the first letter from each word. Note: you should combine it with other measures, such as password length, upper-case and lower-case letters.
To improve the strength of your password, avoid using only look-alike substitutions of numbers or symbols such as to replace an 'i' with a '1', etc. But these substitutions can be effective when combined with other measures, such as length, upper-case and lower-case letters.
Passwords shouldn't contain dictionary and/or foreign words.
Why you need secure passwords generator
Password is a very important part of your information security and it should be strong.
Secure password prevents unauthorized access to your computer, accounts, Internet services, etc
Secure passwords guarantee safety and security of personal information.
My Password Generator is advanced password generator software that uses strong algorithm to generate secure password.
How to generate really random passwords
There are many examples of "random" password generator programs on the Internet but many programs do not generate random characters in a way that insures strong security.
Computer programming languages include functions that can generate random numbers. Such library functions often have poor statistical properties and some will repeat patterns after only tens of thousands of trials. Library functions are often initialized based on computer's clock. Of course these library functions for generating random numbers may provide enough randomness for some simple tasks but they can't provide high-quality randomness.
My Password Generator uses strong algorithm to generate random passwords. My Password Generator uses Universal Random Number Generator (URAND) algorithm to generate secure password. Universal Random Number Generator (URAND) is a subroutine for generating uniformly-distributed floating-point numbers in the interval (0,1). URAND is guaranteed to have a full-length cycle.
Why you need password software
One of the problems with passwords security is that users forget them. Like most computer users, you need lots of passwords: for your computer, bank accounts, Internet services. Remembering all of them is not easy. That's why some users create passwords that are easily to remember (using birth date, dog's name, or some other obvious choice) and, unfortunately, so easily guessable. Easily guessable passwords can become a great weakness in your computer security.
Using password management tools is an easy way to store and remember passwords securely.
My Password Generator is passwords management tool that generated random passwords and maintains a list of usernames and passwords in encrypted form.
Form Auto Fill is passwords management tool that generates passwords based on your preferences, maintains a list of usernames, passwords and other personal information in encrypted form and automatically fills username, passwords and other information on web forms.
Password protection - how to keep passwords safe
Use different passwords for each account.
You should use different usernames and passwords for each web site and application. That way if one gets compromised, the others are still safe.
Regularly change your passwords.
You should change your password at least every 30 - 60 days. The more important the password is, the more frequently the password should be changed. Old passwords should not be re-used for a period of 6 months.
Don't share your passwords with anyone.
Keep your passwords secure - never give out your passwords to anyone.
Do not keep a list of passwords on your desk or in a file on your computer where it can be accessed by others.
You can use special passwords protection software that allows you store passwords in a safe way using encryption technology so they can't be accessed.
Make sure nobody see the password when you enter it.
Never send your password over e-mail.
Do not type passwords on computers that you do not control (e.g. Internet cafes, shared systems). Do not use these computers to check e-mails, bank balances or any other account that requires a user name and password.
How to remember passwords
The simplest way to remember passwords is to create passwords yourself. If you create a password yourself, you know the way it is formed, and it is easier to remember. Of course, the harder the password is, the better the security is. But such passwords are difficult to remember.
Like most computer users, you have at least half a dozen of passwords to remember - e-mail, ICQ, bank accounts, dial-up, etc. Remembering all of them is not easy. That's why some users create passwords that are easily to remember (using your birth date, dog's name, or some other obvious choice) and, unfortunately, so easily guessable, others use the same password for all websites or try storing all their passwords in one text document, which is not safe. Easily guessable passwords can become a great weakness in your computer security.
If you have lots of passwords to remember, you should use special software, that helps you generate passwords, keep passwords, manage your passwords, store personal information, like credit card numbers, PIN codes, bank account number, etc.
How can I generate, store and manage passwords in a safe and secure manner
You can use password keeper and password manager software:
FormAutoFill - password generator & password keeper & password manager.
My Password Generator - password generator & password keeper

Generate random secure passwords
My Password Generator is very easy to use. Just click the "Generate Password" button and the program will generate a random password according to the criteria you specify.
My Password Generator uses Universal Random Number Generator (URAND) subroutine for generating random secure passwords. Universal Random Number Generator (URAND) is a subroutine for generating uniformly-distributed floating-point numbers in the interval (0,1). URAND is guaranteed to have a full-length cycle.
Configurable password length
My Password Generator generates random passwords of any length. Randomness of generated passwords makes them hard to guess. You can set password length in "Password length" field.
Ability to select what characters will be used for generating passwords - you can generate passwords using letters (upper-case, lower-case) and digits.
"Password keeper" feature to keep passwords and usernames in safe and secure manner. Every time you create a new password, you can easily save it. No matter how many different passwords and usernames/logins you have, they can be safely stored using Password Keeper. Using My Password Generator (password keeper) you will never lose your passwords.
Provides passwords security. My Password Generator (secure passwords keeper) protects your passwords, logins and associated web sites from others - all information can be encrypted using AES 256-bit key encryption. AES encryption (256-bit key) protects your passwords from unauthorized access.
If you use "Stored passwords encryption (AES/Rijndael 256-bit key encryption)" feature, you can lock (dismount)/unlock (mount) stored passwords database using "Lock"/"Unlock" in program toolbar and tray menu.
Using generated passwords in other applications
Using "Copy password" option you can easily copy generated password to clipboard (buffer) and then paste it into password field in any application.
To save your time you can use "Generate and Copy password" feature (also accessible by hotkeys and from program tray menu)
