Clear All History - Internet history eraser

Erasing Internet History

Erase Internet History. Internet History Eraser

• Erase Internet History (browser history, search history, address bar history, forms AutoComplete)

All information about web sites you visit is stored in the Browser History Files and anyone who has access to your computer can see what web sites you visited. Clear All History allows you to erase history in Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Mozilla Firefox, Netscape and Opera. "Clear browser history" feature also includes erasing browser history, erasing search history, erasing address bar history (URL AutoComplete) and erasing AutoComplete forms.
"Clear browser history" option for Internet Explorer includes deleting index.dat file.
"Clear browser history" feature for Mozilla, Firefox, Opera includes erasing tracks of recently downloaded files (erases download list).

• Clear cache (Temporary Internet Files)

Browsers cache most of the pages you visit including pictures, animation, movies, etc. This speeds up the displaying of pages you frequently visit as a web browser can open them from your hard disk instead of downloading them from the web. By simply opening the cache file/folder (Temporary Internet Files), anyone can see what videos you've watched, what pictures you've seen, where you've been online and more. Using "Delete Temporary Internet files" option you can completely erase Cache (delete Temporary Internet files).

• Delete Cookies

Web sites can store short pieces of information on your computer called "cookies". Cookies are created in order to recognize users when they return to a website to offer customized content to the certain user. Cookies can also store such information as your name and password on protected login pages, preferences, account information and choices you have made on the site. So, even if you remove browser history, cookies like a map will show your surfing preferences, habits, passwords, etc. Using Clear All History you can delete cookies in Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Mozilla Firefox, Netscape and Opera web browsers.

• Delete stored Passwords

Web browsers store passwords that you typed in web sites forms. While the AutoComplete feature may be helpful, it can also seriously compromise your security and privacy, because anyone who has access to your computer can use stored passwords to get access to the corresponding web sites or use special software to retrieve web site passwords stored as autocomplete data. Using "Delete stored passwords" feature you can completely remove stored passwords in Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Mozilla Firefox, Netscape and Opera.

• Erase cache, history, cookies index.dat files content in Internet Explorer

There are three index.dat files (Internet history files) used by Internet Explorer. They are system files and can't be deleted manually as they are used by Windows all the time. Index.dat files store information which can show where you have been online. Clear All History lets you easily erase the content of Internet history files.

Erase Windows History

Clear History. Delete Cookies

• Empty Windows Temporary Folders (Temporary files directory)

The Windows temporary directory (Temp folders) stores Windows and other programs temporary files. This directory can become cluttered and contain files from programs you no longer have installed or files which may violate your privacy. Clear All History empties current user Temporary directory and Windows Temporary folder.

• Erase Windows Run History (recently run programs list)

Windows stores a list of programs you have run using the Run option in the Start Menu. And anyone who has access to your computer can see the list of programs that you've run. Using Clear All History you can easily erase Windows recently run programs list.

• Erase Windows Search "Files & Folders" History

When you use "Search" option in the Start Menu, Windows keeps a list of the last files you searched for and the items you searched for in those files. And this search history will be visible to anyone who begins a new search. Windows "Files & Folders" search history can be easily seen if you open the "Search results" window (Start -> Search -> Files & Folders). Even if this information isn't shown in the "Search results" windows, it is kept in a Windows registry and can be easily viewed. Using ClearAllHistory you can erase Windows search "Files & Folders" history with one click.

• Erase Windows Search "Computers" History

After you have searched for an item using Windows Explorer, Windows will automatically keep a record of the search. And this search history will be visible to anyone who begins a new search. "Computers" search history can be seen if you open the Search results window (Start menu -> Search -> Computers). Even if this information isn't shown in the "Search results" windows, it is kept in a Windows registry and can be easily viewed. Using Clear All History you can erase Windows search "Computers" history with one click.

• Erase Start Menu open programs history (Windows Explorer UserAssist Data)

Every time you open a program from the Start Menu, the date and number of times you used it is stored in an encrypted database. Windows keeps full run history under the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\UserAssist. If you don't clear UserAssist data, it can compromise your privacy and security and increase the number of entries in the registry slowing Windows down. Using Clear All History you can easily erase the Start Menu open programs history (Windows Explorer UserAssist Data).

• Clear view preferences for desktop and windows you opened (Streams and StreamMRU)

Windows stores up to 28 entries containing view preferences for the desktop and windows that you open in a most-recently-used (MRU) list. When you close a window, the view preferences (size, location) for each window are saved in a subkey of the Streams key. When the desktop or one of the windows is no longer included in the MRU list, the desktop or a window uses the default settings the next time the desktop or a window is refreshed. When you make changes to the desktop or a window, the view preferences for the desktop or a window are moved to the top of the MRU list.

• Erase recently open/save files list (ComDlg32\OpenSaveMRU and ComDlg32\LastVisitedMRU)

Most applications use the Windows-provided dialogs for open/save operations. The CommonDialog control provides a standard set of dialog boxes for operations such as opening and saving files, setting print options, and selecting colors and fonts. The ComDlg32 control which is used in many applications saves its own set of history information separate from other Windows history. Every time you open/save a file Windows keeps a record of this activity - Windows records the names of files that you open or save. So, very often when you choose "open" or "save" item from application's file menu, Windows displays a drop-down list of your most recently used files or opens the certain directory. Even if these names are not shown in the file open/save dialog of particular application, they are kept in a Windows registry and can be viewed.

• Clear Clipboard

We often use copy/paste commands while working with logins, passwords, credit card numbers and other secure information. But Clipboard information can be easily seen by anyone who can access your computer or by the web sites you visit. Using Clear All History you can protect your privacy by clearing your Clipboard. Using "Clear Clipboard (buffer) after paste with Ctrl+V and/or Shift+Ins" feature you can completely remove any information from the Clipboard after paste with Ctrl+V and/or Shift+Ins

• Erase Recently opened documents list

Windows stores a list of documents and files you have recently opened and worked with. Anyone who has access to your computer can see this list and directly link to any of the items that you’ve opened. "Clear Recent Documents" feature allows you to erase the "recently opened documents" list located in the Start menu.

• Disable Recent documents option

Using the "Disable Recent documents" option you can disable the recent used documents from access without deleting the list of recently used documents.

• Empty Recycle Bin

If you delete a file it often means that this file will be moved into the Recycle Bin (not deleted from your computer at all) and can be simply restored from the Recycle Bin. Using "Clear Recycle Bin" feature you can completely delete files from your computer by removing them from the Recycle Bin.

• Program scheduler
