What is address bar history?
Address bar, also known as the "Location bar", is a text box used to enter a web site address in a browser. Web browsers allow users to click the down arrow to view the recently visited pages. So, the address bar history shows some of the web sites you've recently visited and anyone who has access to your computer and starts to type in the address bar will get a drop down url list with the web sites you've visited. You may not want other people to know what web sites you have visited. Using Clear All History "Clear history" feature you can completely erase address bar history in Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Mozilla Firefox, Netscape and Opera.
How can I erase address bar history using Clear All History?
Clear All History is history eraser software. Using "Clear browser history" feature you can completely erase address bar history in Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Mozilla Firefox, Netscape and Opera. Using Clear All History scheduler, you can set the program to erase address bar history automatically.
To erase address bar history:
• Double-click the Clear All History tray icon or right-click the Clear All History tray icon and select the Open Main Window item.
• Click the Tool button in the toolbar.
• Select What to Clear -> Browser History item.
• Check the Clear Browser History option. Note: "Clear browser history" feature includes erasing search history, erasing address bar history (URL AutoComplete), erasing form AutoComplete.
• Select the browser(s) where you want to erase address history. You can erase address history for several browsers simultaneously.
• Click the Clear now button.
My Address bar has disappeared. Where is my address bar? How can I restore my missing Address Bar in Internet Explorer (get address bar back)?
The Address bar may be missing (lost) in Internet Explorer 6.x if the Toolbar settings are set to remove the Address bar, or if there is a problem with a registry key.
To restore the missing address bar (show address bar/display disappeared address bar), you can change the Toolbar settings or delete the WebBrowser registry key.
To change the Toolbar settings:
• Start Internet Explorer, click View and then point to Toolbars.
• If there is not a check mark next to Address Bar, click Address Bar to place the check mark. If there is a check mark next to Address Bar, click Address Bar to remove the check mark, and then click Address Bar to place the check mark.
• If the Address bar is in the upper right corner and not available, right-click Address, and then click Lock the Toolbar to remove the check mark.
• Click Address, and then drag the Address bar where you want it.
If it doesn't work, you can delete the WebBrowser registry key.
To delete the WebBrowser registry key:
• Click Start Select 'Run' from the 'Start' menu.
• In the Run dialogue box type 'regedit' and click 'OK'.
• Locate the following registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar
• Right-click the WebBrowser key, click Delete, and then click Yes.
• Open Internet Explorer and then select View -> Toolbars. The toolbar default settings are restored.
How can I erase address bar history in Internet Explorer?
Internet Explorer users can view the address bar history by clicking the down arrow on the far right side of the text box. To help keep the pages you have recently visited or searched for you can erase the address bar history.
You can also completely erase address bar history using special Internet history eraser software - ClearAllHistory.
To erase history of your Internet Explorer address bar history manually, use the "Clear History" option in Internet Explorer:
• Select Tools -> Internet Options.
• Open the General tab, click "Clear history".
