Using Hide Any Hide (Hide windows software) you can easily hide open windows and/or hide running programs without closing them. To hide windows or running programs, just create special rule for this window/program in "Hide windows" list and press "Hide selected windows" hotkey combination or open HideAnyWindow main window and click "Hide icon" in the toolbar or right-click Hide Any Window tray icon and select "Hide selected windows" item. When your windows are hidden, nobody could see them on your desktop, in Task bar and even in Task Manager.

Hide selected programs and windows automatically
|
HideAnyWindow provides an easy way to hide necessary programs and windows automatically just on PC startup. You can use this feature for more security so nobody except you would ever know the program(s) you want to hide were run on you PC.
Using "Hide in ... minutes after HideAnyWindow start" option, you can set the delay between HideAnyWindow start and hiding necessary programs.
It is useful if HideAnyWindow and program(s) you want to hide start with Windows. As all programs start in different time, you can set the delay, so all the programs you want to hide are running and then HideAnyWindow will hide them.

Easily modify "Hide windows and programs" list
|
You can determine special rules for windows or programs you want to hide/show. If you need, you can modify "Hide windows and programs" list later - add new windows, modify or delete existing windows. To hide windows or running programs you should add them to "Hide windows and programs" list first.

Add window/program to "Hide window" list
To add window or program:
Double-click on HideAnyWindow dektop icon.
Select "Tools" in the toolbar and select "What to hide".

Click the "Add" button.
Select, if you want to determine hide rule based on program's name or window or program's title
If you want to determine the hide rule based on program's name:
Put the radio button for "Program".

Use "Browse" button or "Running programs and opened windows list" button to select the necessary program. If you want, you can enter program full path manually, but to escape mistakes while entering information, we recommend you to use "Browse" or "Running programs and opened windows list" button.
If you use "Running programs and opened windows list" button, just select the necessary program from the "Programs" list.

For more convenience, next to "Programs" column there is a column with windows' titles of the corresponding programs. Note: if you want your program or window is shown in "Running programs and opened windows list" window, you should run your program or open the necessary window.
Select "Program full path" or "Program name" option. "Program full path" option is useful if the same program is installed in several different locations. Note: for Windows 98 and Windows ME you can use only "Program name" option.
If you want to determine the hide rule based on window or program's title:
Put the radio button for "Window".

Use "Running programs and opened windows list" button to enter window or program's title. If you want, you can enter window or program's title manually, but to escape mistakes while entering information, we recommend you to use "Running programs and opened windows list" button.
If you use "Running programs and opened windows list" button, just select the necessary window or program's title from the "Window title" list. For more convenience, next to "Window title" column there is a column with program's full path, Note: if you want your program or window is shown in "Running programs and opened windows list" window, you should run your program or open the necessary window.

Then select condition for window title (contains, doesn't contain, equals, doesn't equal, begins with, ends with).
Click "Save".
If you want to hide window or program, put check mark in "Select" column. Note: when you add a new window or a program to "Hide window" list, it is automatically marked as "Selected Window/Application".
Click "OK".
Modify window/program rule
Double-click HideAnyWindow tray icon or right-click Hide Any Window tray icon and select the Open Main Window item.
Select "Tools" in the toolbar and select "What to hide".
Click "Modify" button.

Make necessary chages and click "Save".
Click "OK".
Delete window/program from "Hide Window" list
Double-click Hide Any Window tray icon or right-click Hide Any Window tray icon and select the Open Main Window item.
Select "Tools" in the toolbar and select "What to hide".
Click "Delete" button.
Click "Yes" if you really want to delete the rule.

How can I know if there are hidden sticky notes or not?
The color of the program ray icon depends on if there are hidden sticky notes or not. Red tray icon indicates there are some hidden sticky notes; the tray icon becomes blue when all sticky notes are shown.
