To clear history of visited websites manually, follow the steps below.

If you use Internet Explorer 8.0+ :

Go to Tools > Delete Browsing History.

Select the history items to delete and click the Delete button

Form data - clears form autocomplete
Download history - clears list of files you have downloaded
History - clears the list of visited websites
Cookies - clear cookies stoed ob your computer
Temporary Internet Files clears the contents of visited web pages

If you use Firefox 4.0+ :

Open the Firefox menu.

Select History > Clear Recent History.

Select Everything under Time range to clear.

Select history items you want to clear under Details and click Clear Now.
